Hello, beautiful souls! I'm Zullaikha, and I want to take a moment to share a little piece of my heart with you. As a deaf makeup artist in the Durham area, I understand firsthand the challenges and triumphs that come with navigating the world of beauty with a unique perspective.

Growing up, I faced my fair share of obstacles, feeling like I had to work twice as hard to prove myself in an industry that often overlooks those who communicate differently. But through perseverance and a fierce determination to follow my passion, I found my voice – not in words, but in the language of makeup. 

My journey took me to Durham College, where I immersed myself in the art of makeup, learning different techniques and honing my skills to perfection. Along the way, I discovered that my deafness wasn't a hindrance but rather a source of strength, allowing me to see beauty in ways that others might overlook.
